Our volunteer hours are Monday- Friday 8am to noon from March to  November. We have occasional Wednesday night shifts. If you are interested in Wednesday evenings mention that when you contact us. 

Working on the farm can mean being out in the cold or the blistering sun. Please dress for the expected weather for the day. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and especially shoes you don't mind getting muddy. It is important to wear a hat in the summer to protect you from the sun. Bring your own gloves to protect your hands or borrow one of our pairs. We have sunscreen if you forget to apply it before you leave home. 

Bring a hat, sunscreen, gloves, drinking water, and possibly a snack if you will be at the farm for more than two hours. We have city water that you can use to refill your water bottle. 

Yes, children are welcome at the farm. Learning about how plants grow is a great experience for children.  

Yes, please contact us ahead of time to let us know how many people you want to bring so we can plan a fantastic task for your group.

 The daily tasks depend on the time of the year and what needs to be done. Some of the daily tasks are planting crops, weed management, building beds, putting up trellis, setting up hoops, row cover, clearing and bark mulching paths, setting up drip irrigation, working on fences and sheds, beekeeping, and preparing produce for donation to the soup kitchens and food pantries.
